Volunteer Opportunities
Would you like to serve on the College of Social Science Alumni Association Board?
The Board meets four times a year to discuss scholarships and research grants for Social Science students and to plan events such as the Social Science Homecoming Tailgate and Kedzie Reunion breakfast. If you would like additional information or have any questions, please contact Vicki Essenmacher in the Social Science Development & Alumni Relations Office at (517) 432-7047 or vicki@msu.edu for additional information.
Are you interested in assisting current students with career planning, mentoring, and/or internships?
Alumni in the social, behavioral, and economics sciences at MSU can serve as a tremendous resource to current students, particularly in career planning. The College of Social Science Alumni Association works with the College’s Internships and Career Services Offices to connect students with alumni. If you would like to provide a half-day job shadowing experience for a current student, please contact Kristi Coleman, the College’s Career Services Field Consultant, at (517) 432-3598. If you or your employer is interested in providing an internship opportunity to a current student, please contact Karen Reiff, the College’s Experiential Learning Programs Coordinator, at (517) 353-9291.
