Criminal Justice
Criminal Justice is a professional program that integrates understanding the causes of crime with security and public safety issues in the context of the legal system. Areas of study include:
- Crime—understanding the distribution and causes of crime in society; theoretical and applied approaches for understanding and reducing criminal behavior
- Administration of Justice—fair and effective management, including police, courts, corrections, and juvenile justice
- Security—private protection of people, property, and information for individuals, corporations, and governments
- Emerging issues—homeland security, cybersecurity, and environmental crime
