Psychology
Psychology is the study of human behavior and the processes and mechanisms that explain it. Areas of study include:
- Behavioral Neuroscience—study of the relationships between brain, hormones, and behavior
- Clinical Psychology—study of the nature and development of psychopathology and interventions designed to resolve behavior problems
- Cognitive Psychology—how the human mind works to select, store, and use information
- Ecological/Community Psychology—human problems in a community context and social interventions
- Industrial/Organizational Psychology—application of psychological principles to people and problems in business and organizational settings
- Social/Personality Psychology—study of individual behavior in groups, group behavior, and group processes
